Summary
The Sewing Group is an unusual contemporary work with a story that the author wants to keep under wraps until it unfolds in performance. Similarly, the author intends that the characters should be developed by the ensemble during the rehearsal process. For audience reassurance, no significant trigger warnings apply to this work.
Maggie joins an isolated rural community of needlewomen and attempts to adapt to their work ethic and simple way of life. After a promising start, hidden tensions begin to emerge and build to an explosive conflict that threatens to destroy the group.
